Chicken just tastes so good in any form, kind of like potatoes. This is the best recipe to put together in next to no time.

These are one of my kid’s favourite things to eat and it is so simple to make that you will be making these over and over again. These make for a delicious after-school snack, and you can make these beforehand as well.

You can even make these fried chicken strips for lunch or dinner. Make some homemade fries and some vegetables to go along with it and there you have it. Dinner is done in a flash!

These chicken fingers are definitely a favourite in the house. I have made these chicken strips so many times over the years I could probably make them whilst I was sleeping. This recipe will always give you an incredible batch of tender and juicy chicken.

Or you could just keep it simple with some store-bought tomato ketchup or mayonnaise.

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken breast into long and thin strips
  • In a separate bowl add the salt, chilli powder, egg, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, whole coriander seeds and the gram flour then mix until well combined
  • Slowly add some water and mix until a paste-like consistency forms – add the water gradually as you do not want the batter to end up too think
  • Add the chicken strips into the mixture and make sure that each piece is coated evenly
  • Heat up the oil and make sure that the oil is hot enough to cook the chicken but not too hot that the batter will burn yet leave the inside uncooked
  • Add the chicken strips to the deep fryer and allow the chicken strips to cook for a few minutes before flipping over and allowing to cook further until golden brown
  • Serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice then enjoy!
