These masala lamb chops are warming, aromatic, succulent and flavourful. Coated with a variety of spices to give a classic twist on Indian flavours then cooked low and slow for a tender lamb chop.
In a large pan, add the lamb chops, onion, garlic paste, ginger paste, black pepper, whole cumin seeds, salt, garam masala and crushed chillies and water then mix to incorporate all the spices evenly
Cover with lid and cook for 30-45 minutes on medium heat until the lamb is tender – this can take up to an hour
In a grill pan heat up the olive oil on medium heat then place the lamb chops on the pan and cook on each side for 2 minutes each until lightly charred – alternatively grill the lamb chops on a barbeque
Serve as an appetiser or as a main with mashed potato and steamed vegetables!

Just a heads up – onions are not listed in the recipe steps. Do you blend them to make a paste as part of the marinade?

Thanks for pointing that out! Finely chopping the onions and adding them at the beginning works perfectly. They’ll cook down nicely and add great flavor to the lamb chops.

Are you really doing all the SEO nonsense in a pathetic bid to game Google’s search results? Or are you simply a terrible writer? Asking for a friend.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’m sorry if my approach seems off-putting. I’m just trying to share what works for me in terms of visibility and discoverability. If you have any feedback or suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

This recipe was simple but the dish was amazing!! Made it for my family this evening and everyone was impressed (I’m not the best cook in the house) so this has really boosted my confidence – thankyou!! Looking forward to trying Nabeela’s other recipes.🤗

I made them today! They turned out lovely! At first I tried to finish them off in a griddle pan, but they stuck to the wedges a bit, so I did the rest in a frying pan (i didn’t oil the griddle like u did silly me) and they worked out lovely. Thanks again and if anyone reading this is wondering if they should try this recipe, I say go for it! 🙂
