Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) or 392°F (356°F fan).
Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal portions and roll them into round balls.
Flatten each dough ball into a small circle with your hands, creating a small pizza base.
Place a precooked meatball in the centre of each dough circle.
Carefully fold the edges of the dough over the meatball, pinching to seal it. Ensure the meatball is fully enclosed by the dough.
Place the meatball-filled dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops of the dough balls with olive oil for a golden finish.
Spoon a little tomato sauce over each meatball sub bite and sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese.
Season each bite with dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the dough is golden brown, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
