Ingredients

  • 400 g Baked Beans
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds jeera
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • Coriander

Instructions

  • Place a skillet or pan over medium heat and add the oil. Let it heat up for a minute.
  • Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds to it. Let them splutter and release their aroma, which should take about 30 seconds to a minute.
  • Add the finely chopped onions to the pan. Sauté them until they turn translucent and start to brown slightly. This should take around 3-4 minutes.
  • Once the onions are cooked, add garam masala, turmeric powder and green chillies to the pan. Mix well with the onions and cook for another 3-4 minutes to allow the spices to release their flavours.
  • Now, add the baked beans to the pan. Stir well to combine the beans with the onion and spice mixture and bring to a gentle simmer
  • Once the beans are heated through and flavoured with the spices, add the freshly chopped coriander leaves and cook for another minute to allow the beans to absorb the flavours.
  • Masala beans are best served hot. You can serve them as a side dish with rice, roti, or bread of your choice. Enjoy your flavourful masala beans!
