Ingredients

  • 200 g Rice
  • 700 ml Water
  • 1 litre Milk
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 50 g Raisins
  • Pistachios For garnishing
  • Almonds For garnishing

Instructions

  • In a large pot add the water and bring to a gentle boil
  • Add the rice and allow it to gently simmer for 10-15 minutes on medium heat until the majority of the water has been absorbed
  • Add the milk and the sugar then cook for 10-15 minutes on medium heat ensuring that you stir every few minutes, so the rice does not stick to the pan
  • Add the raisons or chopped nuts of your preference then bring the milk to a boil then allow to simmer and thicken to your personal preference
  • Serve hot or cold and enjoy!
