Ingredients

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Honey Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract Optional

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, pour the whole milk and heat it over medium-low heat. Be sure not to boil it; you want it hot but not scalding.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper to the milk. Stir well to combine.
  • Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. This helps to infuse the flavours of the spices into the milk.
  • After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat. If you'd like, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra flavour.
  • Sweeten your turmeric milk with 2 tablespoons of honey, or adjust the amount to your desired sweetness. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.
  • Pour the turmeric milk into your favourite mug and enjoy the soothing and healthy beverage.
