Bangladeshi Beef Curry

Ingredients

  • 750 g Boneless Beef
  • 50 ml Oil
  • 2 Onions finely chopped
  • 3 Tomatoes chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 inch Ginger grated
  • 2 Green Chilli
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 500 ml Water
  • 1 handful Fresh Coriander for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onions and fry until golden brown, about 8–10 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chillies. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in turmeric, red chilli, coriander, and cumin powders. Cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Add the beef cubes and sear until lightly browned on all sides.
  • Mix in chopped tomatoes and salt. Cook for 5 minutes until tomatoes soften.
  • Pour in water, cover, and simmer on low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle garam masala powder and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
