Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken Wings
  • 1 tsp Paprika Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Peri Peri Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Puree

Instructions

  • Place the chicken wings into a large mixing bowl.
  • Season the wings with paprika powder, dried oregano, onion powder, chilli flakes, salt, and garlic powder.
  • Pour in the oil, lemon juice, peri peri sauce, mayonnaise, and tomato puree.
  • Mix everything thoroughly until the wings are fully coated and the marinade is evenly distributed.
  • Cover the bowl and allow the chicken to marinate for at least 2 hours in the fridge so the flavours develop properly.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with a baking sheet.
  • Arrange the marinated wings on the tray in a single layer so they cook evenly.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, then turn the wings over to ensure even cooking on both sides.
  • Continue baking for a further 20 minutes until the wings are cooked through and slightly crisp on the edges.
  • Baste the wings with the juices from the tray before serving for extra flavour and moisture.
