These lemon pepper chicken wings are bold, crispy and full of zesty heat. Perfect for gatherings or a weeknight treat, they bring together sharp citrus and a peppery kick that’s hard to resist.
In a large bowl, mix together the spices for the marinade.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss well to coat all the wings evenly in the marinade.
For best results, let the wings marinate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour in the fridge. If you have more time, marinating overnight will enhance the flavor.
Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
Place the marinated wings in a single layer on a baking tray.
Bake for 40–45 minutes, turning the wings halfway through to ensure they cook evenly and become golden brown and crispy.
If you want extra crispiness, broil them for the last 2–3 minutes of baking.
While the wings are baking, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
Add the finely chopped garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant (be careful not to burn the garlic).
Stir in the spices for the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Add in the parsley, lemon juice and ketchup.
Once the wings are baked to perfection, add them to the sauce and toss them well until they are evenly coated in the flavorful sauce.
Serve the wings immediately with extra lemon wedges, if desired, and enjoy the zesty, spicy, and crispy goodness!
