Ingredients

  • 250 g Chicken Mince
  • 250 g Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chilies finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Coriander chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour with a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for another minute.
  • Add chicken mince, garam masala, ground cumin, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and the mixture is dry.
  • Stir in fresh coriander and let the mixture cool.
  • Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  • Flatten a dough ball into a small disc. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center.
  • Bring the edges of the dough together to enclose the filling and seal tightly.
  • Roll out the stuffed dough ball into a paratha, ensuring the filling is evenly distributed.
  • Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Place a rolled paratha onto the hot surface.
  • Cook until golden brown spots appear on one side, then flip and cook the other side.
  • Apply a little oil on both sides while cooking until the paratha is cooked through and crispy.
  • Remove the paratha from the pan and serve hot with yogurt, pickles, or chutney.

Notes

Ensure the chicken filling is fully cooked before stuffing it into the parathas to avoid any risk of foodborne illness.
Adjust the amount of green chilies and red chili powder according to your spice preference.
You can customize the filling by adding vegetables like finely chopped bell peppers or carrots for added texture and flavour.
