Explore the unique blend of spicy and cheesy flavours in the Chilli Cheese Paratha, a delectable twist on the traditional Indian flatbread. This recipe melds zesty spices with melted cheese, creating a mouth-watering treat that's perfect for any meal.
In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, salt, and vegetable oil.
Gradually add water and knead the dough until it's smooth and pliable. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
In another bowl, mix together the grated cheddar cheese, finely chopped green chilies, red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and fresh coriander leaves.
Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and roll each portion into a ball.
Roll out one of the dough balls into a circle, place a portion of the cheese mixture in the centre, and fold the edges to seal it. Roll it out again into a paratha.
Heat a griddle or tawa over medium heat and cook the paratha on both sides until golden brown, adding a little oil or ghee as needed.
Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls and cheese mixture.
Serve hot with yogurt or chutney.
