Ingredients

  • 400 g Spaghetti
  • 6 cloves Garlic Finely minced
  • 115 g Butter
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
  • Salt To taste
  • Black Pepper To taste
  • 60 ml Lemon Juice
  • 60 g Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated
  • Parsley Finely chopped

Instructions

  • Cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until the garlic becomes fragrant.
  • Turn the heat to low and add the cooked spaghetti to the pan. Toss the noodles in the garlic butter sauce to coat them evenly.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Then, drizzle over the lemon juice and toss the noodles again.
  • Just before serving, top the garlic butter noodles with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the amount of garlic and red pepper flakes according to your personal taste.
Freshly squeezed lemon juice adds a tangy brightness to the dish. However, if you prefer a milder flavour, you can reduce the amount or omit it altogether.
Freshly grated Parmesan cheese provides a savoury richness to the dish. Always top the noodles with cheese just before serving to maintain its freshness and prevent it from getting soggy.
This dish is best served immediately while it's still hot. Enjoy it with a side of garlic bread or a refreshing salad for a complete meal.
