Ingredients

  • 600 g Chicken
  • 500 g Potatoes Peeled, diced
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 Onion Finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 500 ml Water
  • Coriander Chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger paste. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine with the onion and garlic mixture.
  • Add the chicken to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  • Add the diced potatoes to the pan and mix them with the chicken and spices.

  • Check the consistency of the sauce and add more water if desired to make it saucy.
  • Sprinkle garam masala over the dish and mix well.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve the Chicken Aloo hot with rice or naan bread.
