Ingredients

Meat Patty

  • 500 g Minced Meat Beef, preferably 20% fat
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

Extras

  • 4 Burger Buns
  • 4 slices Cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Red Onion
  • Ketchup
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Start by combining beef mince, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl. Use your hands to mix everything together thoroughly.
  • Divide the mixture into four portions and shape each one into a 2cm-thick patty.
  • Heat a non-stick or grill pan over medium-high heat, and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until they're fully cooked through.
  • While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by slicing them in half and toasting them lightly in the oven or under the grill.
  • When the patties are almost done, add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty to melt.
  • To assemble the burgers, place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun, add your preferred toppings, and then place the top half of the bun on top.
  • Serve the burgers immediately with your favourite sides, such as fries or onion rings.

Notes

  • Feel free to personalize the toppings to your liking.
  • If you want your burgers cooked differently, adjust the cooking time accordingly. However, keep in mind that eating undercooked ground beef may increase the risk of food poisoning.
  • You can also use a frying pan on the stovetop to cook the patties, using a little oil to prevent sticking.
